Eight-Bot Becomes Xamarin Consulting Partner

We recently were accepted to be part of the Xamarin Partner Network. We are very excited to be associated with such a wonderful product and team. It is incredible to think that we are now able to deliver Android, iOS, Windows 8, Web, and Desktop applications using .net and C#.

It seems so crazy that just 5 or 6 years ago, it would have been pretty futuristic to have a phone that was capable of email and barely much else. Now, my mobile devices provide me just as much information and use as my main computer; in a lot of ways, way more. I still remember when I got my Google Nexus One with the inscription “DON’T PANIC” on the back. I finally had something that I felt brought the power of the Internet everywehere I was. It was only the beginning.

We are seeing that same transition happen with our clients as well. BYOD is becoming the reverse of what happened with the PC 20 years ago. Employees are coming to work with Android and Apple devices and demanding that their company support them. Over the past year, we have been working with the Xamarin tools for Android and iOS to deliver enterprise-grade applications for our clients. Xamarin enables us to develop native mobile solutions using .Net (c#) for our clients that they once thought would be impossible. Being able to locate equipment via GPS or get up-to-date information on your team is now easy to achieve without having to purchase expensive 3rd party solutions or hiring new developers. We can make it happen with the same systems and development teams that you already have. Xamarin allows us to finally feel like we are able to write once, and run anywhere.
